The initial phase of the film has an enjoyable Yuki Kajiura’s music score and a solid script that has its heart in the right place. The film seems to be about Yuta Okkotsu who will constantly try to find meaning in life after being taken back to his childhood.
To top it off, the film doesn’t take itself too seriously with a premise that will make us laugh.
With that said, the film has quite a long run time of 123 minutes which can get a little boring after a while.

The Plot of the Jujutsu Movie
An 18 year old boy discovers his friend’s corpse. He finds his friend dead after a karate practice with his master. He finds an old diary of his friend that was tucked away in his pocket. In the diary he writes about a curse that is following him since his childhood.
So this innocent boy thought that he is cursed and started practising Jujutsu in order to get rid of the curse. Satoru is one of the most intelligent students of Tokyo Jujutsu High School. After suffering a head-on car crash with a speeding truck, he is guided by Sensei Hiroyuki Nakano. Eventually he is determined to realise his dream of creating an environment that is peaceful.
It takes him 5 years of hard work to build a home of peace. He is willing to go to any extent to create this peaceful environment.
Characters of the Jujutsu Movie
Towards the end of the movie, there are some characters that we can get to know in the movie and some characters that never appear in the movie at all. The major characters are Satoru Gojo, Hiroka Shiba, Kazuki Shimura and Shintaro Okiayu.
There are many different supporting characters who play a big role in this movie. The main villainous characters are Akemi Katayama, the woman that is haunting Yuta’s childhood friend, Naoko, who is the wife of the head of the Jujutsu High School, etc. Some important characters that make up the Jujutsu movie are:

“The film is about the dramatic events in Okinawa during the Battle of Okinawa and the actions of Okinawan leaders, who willingly submitted to the Japan Self-Defense Forces (JSDF) and fought the US occupation forces. The forces, including 1,700 members of Okinawan Self-Defense Forces (OSDF), had joined to repel the American attack on March 3, 1945, and to recapture the island after it fell into the enemy hands. Due to the motivation of the soldiers, who were trained by and pledged allegiance to the United States, all parts of Okinawa were subjected to fierce battles with the US occupying forces in WWII.
The Jujutsu Tournament
Yuta Okkotsu & Aiko Asakura find themselves on the doorstep of the Jujutsu High School, as a group of thugs has targeted the students to train for the Jujutsu Tournament.
When Aiko Asakura’s father, Kanji Asakura, expresses an interest in Kaname Aizawa, the protagonist of Jujutsu High School, Aizawa and Kazuhiko Kumon, his headmaster, resign to make a move to another school together. However, Aizawa and Kumon experience inexplicable physical afflictions during the summer semester break, and Aizawa is called away to Miyagi, as he is needed to participate in the Jujutsu Tournament.

Aizawa is then introduced to Shimonji Ninomiya, whose real name is Takashi Ando. The Jujutsu Tournament begins and three contenders emerge: Nakagami Genpaku, Takumi Sugawara and Aizawa.

Unhappy with the situation in his life, Yuta decides to become a pro Jujutsu player, to improve his life, and to keep the promise he made to his childhood friend that he will keep training and study under Satoru at Tokyo Jujutsu High School. He is joined by Ichi, who is an arrogant, vain, delinquent athlete and Takagi who is a master Jujutsuist who left his school after a student attacked him. Yuta’s childhood friend, Kouichi Iimura, who abandoned the school as a teenager to study in France and then at a military academy, returns to the school to visit his former friend and to learn more about his situation.
